Have You Signed the Non-Compete Clause?

It is easier to think the grass is greener on the other side. When you look at the wicked or those not living for God in life it is easy to stray in your mind and complain because of where God has you in life.

Text: John 3:25-27 (KJV)

25 Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying.

26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

John was content with what he had, because he knew what he had God had given him.

Every Christian must decide in his own heart to “Sign the Non-Compete Clause.” Every Christian must decide to trust in the Lord completely and not look at the circumstances around and allow your focus to be shaken from God. We must be content with where God has us, and not let anything compete with that fact.

Discontentment comes from focusing on what you don’t have, when you should focus on what you do have.

Your success should not come from the success you have or the lack of it. Success is found in doing what you know God has for you.

Contentment is saying this is the lot I have, and I am thankful.

Joy is knowing you are saved, secure in that salvation in Jesus Christ, and the circumstances are in God’s control.

Sign the non-compete clause, this is the ticket to contentment!
